Polymannuronic Acid (PM) and Polyguluronic Acid (PG) in the gastrointestinal trac

  • News

A new article in Pharmaceutics are clarifying the transport mechanism of Polymannuronic Acid (PM) and Polyguluronic Acid (PG) in the gastrointestinal tract. PM and PG have been reported to have antitumor, growth-promoting, antioxidant, and modulating intestinal microbial effects. The authors used FITC-dextran from TdB Labs to visualize the transport process and to calculate the permeability coefficient. Read the full study here (open access) here.
