Magnus Sävenhed

Chief Executive Officer

Magnus has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Biology from Linköping University. After graduation in 1999, Magnus has been working in various companies in the pharmaceutical industry. During the early years, work focused on fermentation and downstream processing of human growth hormone. Extensive work has also been around tech transfer and scale up from R&D to production. Thereafter, Magnus managed several jobs related to validation of facilities, equipment, and processes for different pharmaceutical products. The latter part of the career focused on process development, production, and supply chain management. Recently, Magnus was Managing Director and site lead for a biotech company in Uppsala. To summarize, Magnus has close to 25 years’ experience from the pharmaceutical industry including GMP manufacturing. Currently, Magnus is conducting a MBA program at Edinburgh Business School.

Magnus joined the TdB Labs team in September 2024 as Chief Executive Officer.

Charlotte de Belder Tesséus

Chief Business Development Officer 

Charlotte received her BSc in Physiotherapy in 1996 and worked at the Department of Neurology, Akademiska Sjukhuset, Uppsala University Hospital. From 2008 until 2014 she worked as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the Department of Neuroscience, Uppsala University. In 2009 she became Chief Executive Officer and has ever since taken the company and her own business skills through one of the world’s best business incubators, Uppsala Innovation Center, and successfully completed a mini-MBA program. She worked in close collaboration with highly skilled professionals in business economy, sales, marketing, and quality assurance, and led the company from a GLP level to ISO 9001 certification in 2015. Charlotte has in 2018 become a certified coach through the International Coach Federation and her efforts have generated a sustainable leadership and business model for TdB Labs with the help of Sweden´s most active business developer, ALMI. In 2023 she completed an investor education led by Connect and Life Science Invest.

Charlotte has throughout the most recent years completed professional education in Board strategy and sustainable Board Work. In 2024 she successfully completed Styrelseakademin’s program and became a certified Board member.

During her years TdB Labs has won several prizes and awards. In 2023 TdB Labs won the prestigious award “Small Business of the year”.

Gabriela Jandikova

PhD
Quality Assurance Manager

Following the completion of her PhD studies in polymer science and biopolymers, Gabriela embarked on her professional path in quality management. As a Quality Control manager in a Czech-based company specializing in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, Gabriela acquired expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 standards and GMP principles.

Since May 2019, Gabriela has applied the gained experience at TdB Labs. Initially starting as a Quality Controller familiarizing herself with analytical methods used at TdB. Subsequently, transitioning to the role of a Quality Assurance manager, Gabriela ensures that the company’s processes comply to ISO 9001 standards, and that all products and services meet the highest quality.

Jiajie Yan

PhD
Senior Research Scientist

Jiajie did his bachelor (2010) and master (2013) studies, respectively, in pharmacy and medicinal chemistry in China. In 2013, he joined Prof. Lars Engman (emeritus) group at Uppsala University, Sweden and received his PhD (2017) there in organic chemistry, specializing in the development of synthetic regenerable chalcogenide antioxidants. Afterwards, he moved to the UK and worked with Prof. David Procter as a postdoc (2018-2019) at the University of Manchester. There he focused on material-oriented synthetic sulfur chemistry. Later on, he started a two-year postdoc (2019) with Assoc. Prof. Henrik Ottosson on photochemical transformations of (hetero)aromatics back at Uppsala University. So far, he has got 14 peer-reviewed scientific publications as the author and co-author. Jiajie is currently working as a senior research scientist at TdB Labs AB.

Partha Pratim Bose

Starting from his doctoral studies in Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Calcutta, India (2002-2007), Partha gathered multifaceted experience in synthetic chemistry encompassing Peptide, Oligonucleotide and Carbohydrate synthesis; bioconjugation, small molecules as leads for drug development, formulation chemistry and development of point of care visual biomarker detection device based on plasmonic nanoparticles. He has long association and experience in academic research in premier institutes such as Karolinska Institute, Uppsala University, Sweden; European Institute of Chemistry and Biology, Bordeaux, France; Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, India and Bose Institute, Calcutta, India. Karam Chand

Karam Chand received PhD in Chemistry from University of Delhi, India in January 2013. He then worked as a Scientist for the development of process chemistry (2013-2014) of various drugs in Jubilant Life Science Pvt Ltd., India. He was awarded with the Erasmus Namaste Postdoctoral fellowship in Portugal from 2014 to 2016. Karam continued his academic journey where he worked as a Postdoctoral researcher for the development of new anticancer drugs at Umea University, Sweden for 3 years (2016-2019). He has an industrial experience as a researcher in Umea Biotech incubator (2020-2021), Umea, Sweden. He then worked as a Researcher in the Bio-organic & Medicinal Chemistry Department at Uppsala University for one year (2022) under the ENABLE (European Gram-Negative Antibacterial Engine) Project for the discovery of new antibiotic drugs. Till date, he has published 42 research articles in internationally reputed journals and has been involved in the invention of 2 granted patents. Sebastian Tesséus

Shipping and Warehouse Manager

Sebastian has a family connection to TdB Labs as the grandson of the founder, Tony de Belder, and the son of Charlotte de Belder Tesséus. He has been a key member at TdB Labs since 2018 where he previously worked as the Administrative and Sales Assistant while studying Chemistry at Uppsala University. Sebastian is now working full-time as the Shipping and Warehouse Manager at TdB Labs where he is responsible for taking care of incoming orders, preparing packages, and distributing it to relevant customers, at the same time maintaining the inventory of the warehouse.

Tilde Tesséus

Administrative and Sales Assistant

Tilde graduated from high school in 2020 from her studies in behavioral science. She is interested in communication and how humans function psychologically. Her aim is to continue studying these subjects at the University and work within human resources in the future. Her goal is to work as a Manager within this field. It was her grandfather who founded TdB Labs in 1991. She joined the company in 2020 as an Administrative and Sales Assistant.

Kinjal Shah

Marketing Manager

Kinjal received her B. Tech in Biotechnology (2012) from Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University (Mumbai, India). After graduation, she joined a year long Advanced Diploma Program in Biotherapeutics at a Biopharmaceutical company; Reliance Life Sciences (Mumbai, India). She continued there as a Research Fellow in the Regenerative Medicine department where she worked with adult stem cells for further 2 years (2012-2015). Kinjal then moved back to the academia and pursued Master’s in Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology (2015-2017) from Lund University (Lund, Sweden). Following this, she continued her academic journey in the same University by pursuing Doctorate in Medical Science (2017-2021) in translational cancer research (PhD thesis titled: Mechanisms of therapy resistance in acute lymphoblastic leukemia).

During the tenure of her PhD, Kinjal realized her dream of moving from bench to business, where she could utilize her communication skills and simultaneously imbibe knowledge within sales, marketing and leadership! Like the missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle that feels accomplished upon completing the picture by being properly placed, Kinjal feels accomplished as she has found her true calling and has currently joined TdB Labs AB as the ‘Marketing Manager’ from 24th March 2022.

With a career in the life science industry spanning over a decade and a half, Daniel’s journey is one of resilience, passion, and dedication to service. He has been working in various roles during these years and started working in direct sales in 2020 for Abbott Diagnostics. His approach to sales is a unique blend of professionalism and personalized service. He thrives on being a trusted advisor to his customers, helping them navigate through complex purchases, ensuring they get solutions that are not only relevant but truly align with their needs. What sets Daniel apart is his inherent understanding that sales is more than just business; it’s about forging relationships. With his warm, personable approach, he strives to build lasting professional partnerships rooted in trust and mutual success. He believes in the products he sells, and more importantly, he believes in the difference they make in the life sciences field.

His mantra is simple: Every customer has unique needs and deserves a unique solution. With the dedication to fulfill this mantra, belief in our products and the difference that they make in the life science field, Daniel is currently serving as the Sales Manager at TdB Labs AB since May ’23.
