A new publication in Nature is providing a link between viral infection and collateral colitis. The study suggests that the viral infection triggers a Treg cell compartment resulting in the onset of disease. The researchers used 4 kDa FITC-dextran from TdB Labs to measure gut permeability in mice. Read the full study here (open access).
